Perfect to use as a stool, or as a side table.  Tropica is an Indonesian family-owned furniture business that uses teak remnants from large manufacturers, resulting in minimal wasteage of timber resource. All Tropica teak is grown at Perhutani, a managed plantation that’s controlled by the Indonesian government and is part of the Legal Wood Indonesia Alliance. This head-to-toe approach to wood uses everything including the roots, and offcuts from tree limbs to make a truly unique product. Each piece matches the specificied size but is unique, with knots, burrs, holes and gnarls adding to the character. Some pieces are sanded smooth to highlight the beautiful lustre and colour of teak and some are more rustic with a brushed, lightly distressed finish. Metal is finished with mottled brass colour tones, or matte colours with a low sheen.
